Three people involved in fatal Yuba City shooting, police suspect murder-suicide domestic dispute

(FOX40.COM) - - Two men and a woman were discovered dead in a Yuba City apartment complex on Saturday, according to the Yuba City Police Department.

Around 1:56 a.m. on Saturday, the Yuba City Police Department (YCPD) responded to Northgate Terrace Apartments located at 1290 Northgate Drive for reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, cops said they discovered a 36-year-old male and a 34-year-old woman who were fatally shot inside a home. Another 21-year-old guy was likewise found dead within a nearby vehicle.

"It seems a tragic case of domestic violence, not a random act of violence," YCPD said.

The circumstances of the deaths are under investigation, however, authorities stated that the guy and female who were discovered together inside the apartment or condo were "in a previous dating relationship." The guy was found with a self-inflicted gunshot injury, indicative of suicide, according to cops.

Officials said the degree of the lady's injuries is undetermined and her death is being dealt with as a homicide.

YCPD reported that the suspect and victims in this case have been identified, but their names are being kept until their families have been informed.
