Trader Joe's remembers chicken soup dumplings due to possible plastic contamination


TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)-- Trader Joe's is remembering over 61,000 pounds of their steamed chicken soup dumplings due to the possible contamination of difficult plastic from an irreversible marker-type pen.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the products are in 6-ounce boxes with plastic trays, including six pieces.

The dumplings, made on Dec. 7, 2023, are under the name, "TRADER JOE'S Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings" with the lot codes "03.07.25.C1-1" and "03.07.25.C1-2.".

The products were shipped nationwide, with the facility number "P-46009.".

The FSIS said there have been no reports of negative reactions or injury due to the contaminant contamination.

Customers who have actually bought this item are asked to not consume them and to toss the dumplings or return them to the shop.
