Two opportunities to capture the return of Little Rock's I Was Afraid this weekend

I Hesitated

The last time Little Rock rock outfit I Was Afraid played live was in July of 2019. They never ever broke up or revealed a formal hiatus, but logistical obstacles have kept the band-- appropriately referred to as "dreamy grunge" by music blog site IDIOTEQ-- off of the stage for over four years. This weekend, they return with two stacked bills.

Tonight, they'll perform at Vino's, with support from Morbid Visionz, Zashed, Second Life, Stressor and The Chores. Tomorrow, they'll hop over to White Water Tavern, where they'll be joined by Colour Design, Peach Blush, Pett and Zilla.

Each lineup has its fair share of heaviness, however if you prefer screams over tune, I 'd recommend the Friday show. Both gigs start at 7 p.m. and cost $15. Snag your tickets here (Vino's) and here (White Water).

Though I Was Afraid strategies to perform more and release brand-new music in the future, vocalist Darby Johnson now lives in California, implying this may be your only possibility to see them for an excellent while.
