Two people were killed and thrown from a Jeep, according to Troopers.

GIBSONBURG, Ohio (BNN) - The Ohio State Patrol is currently investigating a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. According to a press release, the fatal accident involved a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and occurred on Sunday, June 30 at approximately 10:20 p.m. near the intersection of West Stevenson and North Patterson Streets in the town of Gibsonburg.' 'At around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, a fatal crash occurred in Gibsonburg, Ohio. The Ohio State Patrol has launched an investigation into the incident, which involved a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and resulted in the deaths of two individuals who were ejected from the vehicle.' 'The accident took place near the intersection of West Stevenson and North Patterson Streets in Gibsonburg. According to authorities, the Jeep was heading west on W. Stevenson Street when the driver lost control and the vehicle veered off the road, striking a tree.' 'Tragedy struck as both the driver, identified as Andrew Widmer from Gibsonburg, and the passenger, identified as Emilio Chavez from Woodville, were pronounced dead at the scene. It has been reported that the driver was wearing a seatbelt, while the passenger was not.' 'Local police have also reported another fatal crash, where a woman lost her life after colliding with a barrier head-on. The cause of the crash is currently unknown and under investigation.' 'Authorities are still working to determine the exact cause of the crash in Gibsonburg. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.'
