Ukraine's Bold Move: Claiming Russian Territory

Breaking Now News: Exciting Updates You Need to Know!

RUSSIA VS. UKRAINE

The surprise attack into Russia by Ukrainian forces now puts them in control of about 386 square miles of the Kursk region, which borders on Ukraine.

That’s according to Ukrainian Gen. Olesksander Syrski, who made the statement which was posted to a Telegram web channel.

“The troops are fulfilling their tasks,” said Syrski. “Fighting continues actually along the entire front line. The situation is under our control.”

An estimated 10,000 Ukrainian troops have penetrated about 15 miles into Russia, and hold almost 30 settlements, according to published reports.

“Ocean of water” beneath Mars?

Mars has long been called “The Red Planet.” New research suggests it may also be “The Wet Planet.”

Research findings released on Monday indicated that data gleaned from NASA’s InSight lander suggests that seven to 12 miles down in the crust of Mars is what could be a huge underground ocean.

It’s believed that Mars had considerable water more that 3 billion years ago, but that a thinning atmosphere may have raised such dust that it buried the ocean beneath the surface.

Such a finding doesn’t mean that Mars holds life, but “there are environments that could possibly be hospitable,” said Vashan Wright of UC San Diego.

With independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in the mix, Harris leads by 45 to 43 percent.

In most recent polls of “swing states” Harris leads in Michigan by 5 percent, Pennsylvania by 4 percent, and Wisconsin by 9 percent.
