United States Marshals arrest Cleveland murder believes in separate states


CLEVELAND (BNN)-- A 17-year-old woman and a 21-year-old male were apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force on Monday for 2 separate homicides in Cleveland.

According to a press release from the U.S. Marshals NOVFTF, the task force arrested the 17-year-old in the early morning on the 3200 block of W. 44th Street in Cleveland.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, 2 juveniles were in the rear seat of a cars and truck when they shot and killed a 39-year-old man who was driving the automobile in the back of the head on March 1.

The lorry then crashed near West 23rd Street and Broadview Road. The juveniles then fled the scene, according to authorities.

According to the release, a 14-year-old kid surrendered to Cleveland authorities recently in connection to the shooting.

According to the press release, 21-year-old Mar' Shawn Johnson was jailed Monday night in Huntsville, Alabama in connection to a Cleveland shooting.

According to the release, Cleveland officers responded to a male with numerous gunshot wounds on the 1700 block of W. 25th Street in Cleveland on January 13.

Johnson was allegedly involved in a physical run-in with Roderick Phillips, 49. That is when Johnson pulled out a weapon and shot Phillips and fled the scene, according to the release.

Phillips was taken to the health center where he was pronounced dead.

U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Johnson at a home in Huntsville, Alabama on Monday.
