Urgent Search Underway: West Milwaukee Police Seek Missing 43-Year-Old Man

Community Alert: Authorities Appeal for Public Assistance in Locating Robert Harlow

West Milwaukee Police have launched an intensive search for 43-year-old Robert Harlow, who was last seen Wednesday evening near his residence on South 47th Street. Authorities describe him as a White male, standing 5'10" with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and black sneakers.

"We're deeply concerned for Robert's well-being," said Lt. Daniel Carter of the West Milwaukee PD. "His family reported him missing after he failed to show up for work Thursday morning, which is completely out of character."

Critical Details About the Disappearance:

  • Last Seen: November 15 around 7:30 PM near his West Milwaukee apartment
  • Vehicle: His silver 2015 Honda Accord (Wisconsin plate: AJK-4291) is also missing
  • Medical Concerns: Harlow requires daily medication that he doesn't have with him
  • Distinguishing Marks: Has a faded surgical scar on his right forearm

How the Public Can Help:

  1. Call West Milwaukee PD's tip line at (414) 555-0198 with any sightings
  2. Check home surveillance cameras between 7-9 PM Wednesday night
  3. Report any abandoned vehicles matching the description
  4. Share the police department's social media posts

Investigators say they've already searched Harlow's usual haunts including Miller Park, the Hank Aaron State Trail, and his workplace near National Avenue. K-9 units conducted a search of nearby neighborhoods Thursday night with negative results.

"We're exploring all possibilities," Carter added. "That includes reviewing traffic cameras along I-94 and reaching out to contacts in surrounding counties."

What Do You Think?

  • Should Milwaukee implement a Silver Alert system for missing adults like neighboring states?
  • Are current protocols for handling missing persons cases sufficient in urban areas?
  • How effective are social media campaigns compared to traditional search methods?
  • Should businesses be required to report no-shows to authorities after a certain period?
  • At what point does a missing person case indicate potential criminal activity versus voluntary disappearance?
