CLEVELAND (BNN)-- The
Cleveland Division of Police is investigating why the lights and sirens were activated in the car transporting Mayor Justin Bibb moments before a crash downtown.
Bibb's vehicle was associated with a crash on Thursday around 9 a.m. near E. 12th Street and Superior Avenue.
Prior to the crash, Bibb's motorist was "engaged in emergency situation action driving," according to the city, which indicates the automobile's lights and sirens were triggered.
Surveillance video near the scene of the crash revealed Bibb's SUV being hit on the traveler's side by a car coming through the intersection moments later.
Cleveland cops are investigating the accident.
There's no word on why the mayor's lorry had its lights activated.

The City of
Cleveland tells BNN that the mayor was launched from the medical facility the other day. He was required to the health center as a precautionary measure.
Nobody else was injured.
