HAYS COUNTY, Texas (BNN) - - Hays CISD said one of its trainees is in the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest 2 days after turning 17 years of ages.
According to her household, Lehman High School junior Riley Koenig went into heart attack on April 15. She's been in the hospital ever since.
They said she was home when it took place and that her older sis and sibling existed to help perform CPR and call 911.
Her family said due to the fact that her siblings found out CPR while trainees at Lehman, they had the ability to delve into action.
Her mother stated she was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy at Dell Children's Hospital, where she currently is in rehab.
This comes as more research study shows cardiovascular disease can take place at any age.
Her family has a GoFundMe page to aid with medical expenses.
