BOGOTA, Colombia-- Colombian President Gustavo Petro said Friday that authorities discovered alive four kids who endured a little plane crash 40 days ago and had been the topic of an extreme search in the Amazon jungle that held Colombians on edge.
The kids were alone when searchers found them and are now getting medical attention, Petro informed reporters upon his go back to Bogota from Cuba, where he signed a cease-fire arrangement with representatives of the National Liberation Army rebel group.

The crash happened in the early hours of May 1, when the Cessna single-engine prop plane with six travelers and a pilot stated an emergency situation due to an engine failure.
The little airplane fell off radar a brief time later and a frantic look for survivors began. The three grownups were eliminated, and their bodies were discovered in the location.
