Video shows rough arrest of California armed robbery suspect; deputy on leave


A San Bernardino County constable's deputy is on administrative leave after video surfaced of a use-of-force arrest on an armed robbery suspect in Hesperia earlier this week.

Events resulting in the arrest began on Sunday when deputies were contacted us to an armed robbery in the 16000 block of Main Street, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department specified in a press release Wednesday.

Detectives later recognized 36-year-old Adelanto citizen Christian Cardenas Alonso as a suspect in the event.

Alonso is a founded guilty felon and an active criminal street gang member, according to the news release.

On Tuesday, deputies located Alonso near the crossway of Main Street and E Avenue.

" The investigators initiated a traffic stop and contacted Alonso who refused to exit his lorry. Alonso withstood arrest and an usage of force occurred," the Sheriff's Department stated.
